defaults write com.apple.desktopservices DSDontWriteNetworkStores true

or put something like this in your smb.conf

veto files = /.DS_Store/

anyways i was looking if there is any filesystem base triggering, which can clean it automatically ... so i can tune all those horrible thumb.db too out of my linux box :p</description>
